This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Wellington Intl Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 1 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=nzwn If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event which there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Clear skies and moderate northwest winds on September 1, 2026, are positioning Wellington for a daytime high in the 13–14°C range, aligning with the market’s heavy weighting toward 14°C (67%) and 13°C (20.5%).** Early-spring conditions in the Southern Hemisphere feature increasing solar insolation, with models from MetService, WeatherBug, and Yr.no showing afternoon peaks near 12–14°C (roughly 54–58°F) under mostly sunny or clear skies and northwest flow. These flows bring mild air while limiting cloud cover that would otherwise cap warming. Historical September averages for Wellington hover around 13°C highs, providing climatological support for this narrow band. Recent forecast consistency across sources has reinforced trader confidence in the 13–14°C outcomes, with only modest probability on 15°C reflecting the small chance of slightly stronger warming if winds remain light. No significant model disagreements or sudden atmospheric shifts (such as cold fronts or increased cloudiness) have emerged in the latest updates to alter this consensus. Resolution will hinge on official maximum readings for the calendar day, typically captured in the early-to-mid afternoon.
