This stance aligns with stalled implementation of the June 2026 Trilateral Framework Agreement, where Lebanese Armed Forces efforts in pilot zones south of the Litani River have fallen short of dismantling infrastructure or establishing a state monopoly on arms. Lebanese government initiatives face internal resistance and limited enforcement capacity amid Iranian influence. These developments sustain trader consensus on low odds for an official disarmament commitment by year-end deadlines, with verification mechanisms and Rome talks remaining unresolved.
