Democratic Rep. Greg Stanton, the four-term incumbent and former Phoenix mayor, secured his party's nomination in the July 21, 2026 primary and faces Republican Zuhdi Jasser in the November general election for Arizona's 4th congressional district. The district, centered in urban Maricopa County communities including Tempe and parts of Mesa and Chandler, carries a Cook Partisan Voting Index of D+4 and is rated Solid Democratic. Stanton prevailed by seven points in 2024 despite redistricting, and recent polling and fundraising show him maintaining a substantial edge. The absence of a competitive Republican challenger or late-cycle developments that could alter the partisan balance has reinforced trader consensus around the Democratic outcome in this safely leaning seat.
