Trader consensus on the Strasbourg mayoral election tilts toward Catherine Trautmann at 52.5% implied probability, driven by recent polls showing her leading voter intentions among left-wing voters amid potential socialist consolidation. Incumbent Jeanne Barseghian holds at 40%, buoyed by her 2020 victory and ecologist base but pressured by coalition fatigue and urban policy critiques. Jean-Philippe Vetter's 39% reflects right-wing momentum from Les Républicains' national gains, appealing to security-focused suburbs. A mid-October Ifop survey widened Trautmann's edge to 28% from 25% prior, boosting her shares, while no major endorsements or scandals have shifted dynamics yet; watch for left primaries and 2025 European vote spillover.
