Recent polling shows the BC NDP holding a narrow lead over the Conservatives ahead of the October 24 snap election, with the Greens and smaller parties like CentreBC and OneBC polling in the low-to-mid teens or below. Conservative leadership instability following Kerry-Lynne Findlay’s resignation and the rise of CentreBC have introduced volatility that traders appear to weigh heavily when assessing second-place probabilities. The compressed campaign timeline, overlapping municipal elections, and vote fragmentation among opposition parties keep the contest for runner-up status closely balanced, with any late shifts in turnout or regional swings in key ridings capable of altering the order.
