Recent National Weather Service forecasts and ensemble model consensus for Austin project a high near 98°F on September 26 under partly sunny skies with light southerly flow and minimal cloud cover or precipitation. This aligns with the prevailing warm late-summer pattern, where recent daily maxima have reached the mid-to-upper 90s amid weak steering currents and no significant frontal passages. Trader positioning, with 96-97°F at 35.5% implied probability and adjacent bins near 20%, reflects this tight clustering around mid-90s readings while acknowledging typical short-range forecast spread from boundary-layer mixing and exact insolation. Updated model runs and NWS briefings through the weekend remain the key near-term catalysts.
