Recent cold front passage across the Midwest is introducing a cooler air mass behind Wednesday's storms, with northerly winds and clearing skies favoring radiational cooling for Chicago's September 10 overnight low. Official National Weather Service guidance and ensemble models show the minimum likely falling in the low-to-mid 60s°F under partly cloudy conditions, though faster clearing or lighter winds could push readings toward the upper 50s while lingering moisture or delayed frontal timing supports values near 70°F. This genuine forecast spread across guidance explains the near-even market-implied odds between sub-58°F and 76°F-plus outcomes, with resolution hinging on the precise evolution of boundary-layer mixing and dewpoint recovery.
