**Persistent hot, dry conditions under high pressure drove overnight lows in Dallas to the 80–81°F range on September 11, 2026, aligning with the market’s leading 51.5% implied probability for that bin.** Official and station data from Dallas Love Field/DFW show a minimum of 81°F that night, with daytime highs reaching 100°F amid southerly winds and minimal cloud cover. Long-range high pressure, a 57-day dry spell at DFW, and the absence of any frontal passage prevented significant radiational cooling, keeping dew points elevated and limiting overnight drops. Historical September averages for the date are near 72°F, but 2026’s fifth-driest and eighth-hottest summer on record reinforced the warm baseline. Forecasts issued on the day consistently projected lows in the upper 70s to low 80s, with limited model spread, which concentrated trader consensus on the 80–81°F outcome while assigning low probability to cooler bins. Official minimum readings are typically confirmed within 24–48 hours, supporting the current market positioning ahead of final resolution.
