Persistent southerly flow and clear skies under high pressure are limiting nocturnal cooling across the Dallas area, with official guidance and model consensus pointing to an overnight minimum in the upper 70s to low 80s Fahrenheit. This warm, humid airmass—typical for mid-September climatology—has kept temperatures well above the 71.5 °F historical average low, producing the tight market clustering around the 78–83 °F resolution buckets. Minor differences among leading outcomes hinge on exact timing of the daily minimum, local sensor placement, and any subtle wind shifts that could allow slightly greater radiational cooling before sunrise. Updated National Weather Service forecasts and real-time observations through the night will provide the decisive data for final settlement.
