Trader consensus clusters around a 62–67°F overnight low for Chicago on September 12, reflecting modest uncertainty in model guidance amid a lingering warm air mass. Recent clear to partly cloudy conditions have supported efficient radiational cooling after daytime highs in the low-to-mid 80s, yet elevated dew points near 60°F and light variable winds are limiting further drops. National Weather Service and ensemble forecasts show the minimum likely occurring near dawn, with small differences in cloud timing or boundary-layer mixing able to shift the reading by a degree or two. Historical September averages near 60°F provide context, but the current pattern favors readings several degrees above normal. Updated model runs and official observations through the early morning hours remain the key variables that could refine market-implied probabilities before resolution.
