Recent National Weather Service forecasts indicate a cooler airmass from a cold-air damming wedge and northeast flow will keep Atlanta highs below seasonal norms through Friday, September 25, with official guidance centering on 79°F under mostly sunny skies. This follows Wednesday’s 81°F peak and Thursday’s 76°F amid lingering low clouds and light showers, as the stable air mass suppresses instability and limits diurnal warming. Model consensus supports highs in the upper 70s, though minor variations in cloud cover or wind could shift the exact maximum by a degree or two. Trader probabilities cluster tightly around 76–79°F bins, reflecting this narrow forecast range and the low likelihood of significant pattern changes before resolution.
