Current forecasts from multiple models indicate mostly clear skies and light winds over Cape Town on September 8, supporting maximum temperatures in the upper 20s °C range through daytime solar heating and mild northerly or westerly advection. This setup follows a period of above-normal warmth in early September, with recent daily highs reaching 25°C amid stable high pressure. Trader odds remain dispersed across 23–30°C outcomes because ensemble runs show minor differences in peak timing and boundary-layer mixing, while official agencies like SAWS have not yet issued a final advisory. Resolution hinges on the precise 24-hour maximum recorded at the primary station, with any strengthening onshore flow or increased cloud cover able to cap values closer to seasonal norms around 18–20°C.
