Recent official forecasts from Malaysia's Meteorological Department project a maximum of 35°C in Kuala Lumpur on September 6 amid haze, aligning with the market's leading 34–35°C outcomes. Typical September highs average near 32–33°C, but current model runs show afternoon peaks potentially reaching 36°C under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies with light southerly winds and low rain chances. Key variables include evolving cloud cover and any convective activity that could cap temperatures below 34°C, urban heat island amplification, and humidity levels near 40–60% during peak heating. Updated model consensus and official briefings over the next 48 hours remain the primary drivers of trader positioning amid the wide probability spread.
