Recent National Weather Service and model guidance for Houston points to a high near 92°F on September 7 under mostly sunny skies with a 30-40% chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms driven by the sea breeze and high moisture. Dew points in the mid-70s will support heat indices above 105°F, but scattered convection and limited mixing typically prevent temperatures from exceeding the mid-90s in this pattern. Current forecasts align closely with the market's leading 92-93°F bin, reflecting the typical late-summer climatology where highs average near 91°F and strong heating is often moderated by clouds or rain. No major frontal passages or tropical influences are expected to alter this trajectory before Monday.
