Recent forecast model runs for Cape Town show overnight lows centered around 15–17°C on September 24 under partly cloudy skies and light southwesterly winds, keeping most guidance above 14°C while a few cooler solutions dip toward 12–13°C. This narrow spread between mild and cooler scenarios drives the near-even market split between sub-10°C and 20°C+ outcomes, as traders weigh Atlantic high-pressure stability against potential cold-air advection from the interior. Historical September minima average near 10°C, but current sea-surface temperatures and lack of strong frontal systems support the higher baseline. Updated South African Weather Service observations and final model guidance tonight will refine the exact minimum before resolution.
