Recent Met Office and ensemble forecasts position 24°C as the leading outcome for London's maximum temperature on September 23, with model consensus around 22–24°C amid a late-season warm spell. High pressure and southerly flow are drawing milder continental air northward, supporting daytime peaks near 23–24°C, while increasing cloud cover and a modest chance of showers later in the day could cap readings closer to 23°C. Historical September baselines for London average highs near 19–20°C, making the current pattern above normal but typical for a transitional warm episode. Updated model runs and official briefings in the next 48 hours will refine the precise peak ahead of market resolution.
