Texas's 1st congressional district maintains a strong Republican tilt, reflected in its R+25 Cook Partisan Voter Index and Donald Trump's 74 percent share there in 2024. Incumbent Nathaniel Moran secured the GOP nomination without opposition in the March primary, while Democratic nominee Yolanda Prince advanced through her party's contest. Forecasters at the Cook Political Report, Inside Elections, and Sabato's Crystal Ball rate the seat Solid or Safe Republican. Traders assign the Republican Party a 93.5 percent implied probability of victory on November 3, consistent with the district's voting history and limited Democratic infrastructure. A national political shift or unexpected local development would be required to narrow the gap meaningfully before Election Day.
