Recent National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance points to a continuation of strong high pressure and southerly flow over north Texas, delivering mostly sunny skies and light winds on September 14 that favor efficient daytime heating. Forecast highs cluster between 98–101 °F, with the spread reflecting minor differences in boundary-layer mixing and dew-point advection across guidance suites. This places the market’s leading 100–101 °F bin (46 %) and 98–99 °F bin (38.5 %) in close contention, consistent with the narrow range of official deterministic and statistical forecasts relative to Dallas’s September climatology. Updated model runs and afternoon observations will determine whether peak temperatures edge into the upper or lower half of that interval before market resolution.
