Official Met Office forecasts for London on September 11 project a daytime maximum of 22°C under sunny intervals, light westerly winds, and stable high pressure, aligning with the market's strong 69% implied probability for that outcome. Model consensus from sources like GFS and local observations shows afternoon peaks near 21–22°C, with minimal cloud cover or precipitation risk allowing full solar heating. This sits slightly above the early September climatological average of around 19°C. A modest 22% chance for 23°C reflects uncertainty in exact peak readings at stations like London City Airport, while lower outcomes remain discounted absent unexpected cooling from increased winds or thicker cloud. Updated agency briefings through the morning continue to anchor trader sentiment around these thresholds.
