Current forecast guidance from NOAA and supporting models shows Seattle's minimum temperature on August 26 falling in the upper 50s°F, driven by light southerly flow, partly cloudy skies, and moderate dew points that limit radiational cooling overnight. An upper ridge is yielding to an approaching trough, introducing onshore marine influence that keeps temperatures above typical late-summer radiative lows while preventing significant warming. Historical averages near 56°F provide context, yet recent model runs differ slightly on cloud timing and wind speeds, creating the tight split between the 56-57°F and 58-59°F bins that dominate trader positioning. Updated NWS briefings and evening model cycles will clarify any last adjustments before resolution.
