Gubernatorial elections are currently scheduled to be held in Colima on June 6, 2027. This market will resolve according to the listed candidate who wins the 2027 Colima gubernatorial elections. Any interim or caretaker Governor will not qualify. If the results are not known definitively by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. This market will resolve based on the results of this election, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official results as reported by government sources of Colima and Mexico, including the Electoral Institute of Colima and the National Electoral Institute of Mexico.**Rosa María Bayardo Cabrera leads the Colima governor market at 78% as Morena’s designated coordinadora estatal for the 2027 election, following her August 2026 selection after winning the party’s internal survey.** As former Manzanillo mayor with experience in state economic development and federal roles, she benefits from the ruling alliance’s (Morena-PT-PVEM) structural advantage in the state and early polling leads within the coalition. Recent internal challenges, including a complaint by Gricelda Valencia de la Mora, were dismissed by party bodies, reinforcing her position. Lower-priced opposition figures such as Riult Rivera Gutiérrez and others trail amid a fragmented field and Morena’s consistent statewide preference in surveys. The market reflects trader assessment of her path through the alliance nomination and general election in a state where the 4T has held the governorship.
