Current model consensus from NWS and private forecasters shows morning marine layer and onshore flow moderating Los Angeles temperatures on September 4 near the 76.7°F climatological average high, with afternoon clearing under mostly sunny skies. This setup positions the 76-77°F bin as the market leader at 37% implied probability, followed by 78-79°F at 27%, reflecting typical September conditions without strong offshore winds or thermal trough development that would push readings higher. Recent observations from Los Angeles International Airport confirm stable patterns, with September 1 reaching only 76°F and no heat signals in GFS or NAM runs through the period. Traders are weighting these factors heavily ahead of final National Weather Service verification.
