Current National Weather Service and model consensus forecast a minimum temperature in the mid- to upper-70s°F for Austin on September 10, driven by persistent southerly flow of warm, humid Gulf air under high pressure, with limited overnight radiative cooling amid partly cloudy skies and heat indices near 110°F. Historical September averages near 70°F contrast with the ongoing late-summer pattern that has kept recent lows above 75°F. The near-even market split between ≤69°F and ≥88°F outcomes reflects trader emphasis on tail risks—such as an unforecasted cold front versus minimal nocturnal cooling—rather than the central tendency, with upcoming model runs and any Gulf moisture shifts as key near-term variables.
