The 2026 Quebec general election campaign, called for October 5 with a new 127-riding map, keeps the Beauharnois contest tight due to a fragmented multi-party field. Incumbent Claude Reid (CAQ) faces Alexandre Daneau (PQ, nominated after a June party vote), Charles Royer Tremblay (PLQ), Angélika Homère (PCQ), and additional contenders including from Québec solidaire. No riding-specific polling has established a clear leader, and provincial trends show vote splitting among CAQ, PQ, Liberals, and Conservatives in the Montérégie region. Trader consensus reflects this balance, with limited separation until further campaign developments such as advance polls, debates, or regional polling aggregates can shift implied probabilities.
