Recent National Weather Service and model guidance indicate northwest winds and clearing skies will moderate daytime heating over the Northeast on September 11, supporting a high temperature near 80°F in Central Park. This follows a warmer Thursday with highs in the mid-80s under southwest flow, as a cold front shifts the region into drier, cooler air. Ensemble forecasts cluster between 78–81°F, aligning with historical September 11 averages near 78°F while accounting for typical model spread in boundary-layer mixing and insolation. The tight 78–79°F and 80–81°F market shares reflect this narrow uncertainty range ahead of the final afternoon observations used for resolution.
