Recent National Weather Service guidance and model consensus point to a high near 76°F in Chicago on September 11 under clearing skies after midweek showers, with southerly flow and building high pressure supporting modest daytime warming. Historical averages near 78°F and recent early-September heat provide context for trader focus on the upper 70s, though lake moderation and exact cloud-cover timing introduce uncertainty in the daily maximum. Short-range forecast updates and observed trends in dew points and wind shifts will likely refine probabilities ahead of resolution.
