Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.Traders have converged on 78-79°F as the lowest temperature recorded in Miami on August 5, reflecting the dominance of typical subtropical summer conditions driven by high humidity, minimal nocturnal cooling, and prevailing southeasterly flow from the Atlantic. Official NOAA observations and regional climate normals place Miami-Dade nighttime lows in this range during early August, with the urban heat island effect further limiting radiative cooling. Forecast model consensus from the National Weather Service showed no significant frontal passages or anomalous advection that could depress temperatures below 76°F. A rare, strong cold front or major convective outflow boundary could have altered this outcome, but such events remain statistically uncommon in peak summer and did not materialize in the latest observational data.
