Recent polling ahead of the October 24 snap election shows the BC NDP and Conservatives trading first and second in popular vote support at roughly 41-45% and 35-37%, respectively, while the BC Greens hold steady at 10-13%. This leaves the Greens as the clearest contender for third place in seats under first-past-the-post rules. Conservative caucus defections to CentreBC and OneBC, coupled with recent leadership turnover, have fragmented the right-wing vote and reduced the chance that splinter groups surpass the Greens in seat totals. Traders assign the Greens a dominant 76% implied probability for third place, with NDP, Conservatives, OneBC, and CentreBC all trading well below 15%, reflecting the limited path for any other party to finish ahead of the Greens in the current fragmented landscape.
