Recent National Weather Service forecasts for Chicago indicate overnight lows on September 9 likely settling in the upper 60s, driven by persistent cloud cover, scattered showers, and southwesterly flow ahead of a weak frontal boundary that limits radiational cooling. Model consensus from NWS and regional guidance shows temperatures bottoming near 67°F, with minor spread tied to exact precipitation timing and wind shifts that could allow brief clearing. This aligns with climatological norms around 61–62°F but reflects elevated moisture and humidity moderating the minimum compared to clearer September nights. Trader sentiment reflects this narrow forecast range, with closely matched probabilities across the 67–73°F buckets underscoring sensitivity to the next model runs and official NWS updates before resolution.
