Apvienotais saraksts (AS) holds the strongest position among traders as the frontrunner to win the most seats in Latvia’s October 3, 2026 Saeima election, reflecting its consistent lead in recent polling averages near 17 percent amid a fragmented field. LPV and SV trail in second and third place, buoyed by populist and sovereignist appeals that have sustained double-digit support. Recent coalition realignment following Prime Minister Evika Siliņa’s May 2026 resignation elevated AS leader Andris Kulbergs to head a new four-party government, providing the alliance with governing visibility ahead of the vote. The 5 percent threshold and proportional representation system continue to favor multiple parties clearing into parliament, with no single bloc projected for an outright majority. Manual ballot counting, approved earlier this year, and the short campaign window remain key procedural factors that could influence final seat distribution.
