Recent National Weather Service and model guidance for Los Angeles on August 29 point to overnight lows near 69–72°F amid a gradual cooldown following the late-August heat wave that pushed daytime readings well above normal. Persistent onshore flow and marine influence are moderating temperatures, though residual warmth from elevated sea-surface temperatures and limited nocturnal radiative cooling keep most projections above the long-term average low of ~65°F. Traders have assigned the highest implied probability (44%) to 65°F or below, reflecting model spread on how quickly the marine layer strengthens overnight, while the cluster of outcomes around 70–73°F captures the consensus central tendency. Updated forecast discussions and any revisions to minimum temperature guidance ahead of the 29th will be the key near-term drivers.
