Forecasts from the National Weather Service and supporting model runs indicate a minimum temperature in the mid-60s for Chicago on September 11, driven by clear to partly cloudy skies overnight that promote radiational cooling under light easterly flow. This setup favors readings near 63–66°F at O’Hare and Midway, consistent with climatological September lows around 61°F but tempered by recent above-normal warmth and southerly moisture advection. Ensemble spread in guidance creates balanced trader positioning across the 62–63°F, 60–61°F, and adjacent bins, while the low probability assigned to 51°F or below reflects the absence of strong cold-air advection or frontal passage. Updated NWS briefings and next model cycles will refine the exact threshold before overnight observations finalize the market.
