Warm, humid southerly flow ahead of an approaching frontal system and widespread cloud cover from showers are sustaining elevated overnight minima in New York City for September 13. Official guidance from the National Weather Service and multiple forecast models converge on lows of 70–72 °F, well above the 1991–2020 climatological average of 62.6 °F, as trapped moisture and reduced radiational cooling limit temperature drops. Trader emphasis on the 70–73 °F bins reflects this consensus, with narrower spreads between adjacent ranges driven by minor model differences in shower timing and any brief clearing windows. Updated National Weather Service discussions and hourly observations through the evening of the 12th remain the key near-term inputs likely to refine final resolution.
