The race in Iowa's 1st District pits Republican incumbent Mariannette Miller-Meeks against Democratic nominee Christina Bohannan in a November 2026 rematch within an R+4 district rated toss-up by Cook Political Report, Inside Elections, and Sabato's Crystal Ball. Miller-Meeks secured her party's nomination on June 2 by defeating primary challenger David Pautsch, while Bohannan advanced overwhelmingly over Travis Terrell, confirming the general election matchup. Traders assign higher implied probability to the Democratic outcome, reflecting the seat's narrow 2024 Republican margin, midterm dynamics, and early fundraising patterns that position the challenger competitively. No major scheduled events immediately alter the landscape ahead of the general election.
