Recent National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance for Los Angeles on September 19 points to daytime highs in the mid to upper 70s under persistent onshore flow and a shallow marine layer, keeping conditions near the 1991–2020 September average high of 76°F. This consensus, with limited warming from light southwest winds and minimal cloud cover, underpins the market’s heavy weighting toward 76–79°F outcomes. Updated runs show modest model spread around 76–81°F depending on boundary-layer moisture and timing of any clearing, but no strong offshore or heat-wave signals have emerged to shift probabilities higher. Final official readings from Los Angeles International Airport will resolve the market once the calendar day ends.
