Recent National Weather Service guidance and model consensus point to overnight lows in the mid-to-upper 70s for Austin on September 9, driven by persistent southerly flow, elevated dew points near 70°F that suppress radiative cooling, and mostly clear skies beneath a strong upper ridge. These conditions align with the market's tight clustering around 74-79°F outcomes, where small differences in forecast wind speeds or timing of any light cloud cover could shift the exact minimum by a degree or two. Historical September averages near 70°F highlight the current anomalous warmth, while traders weigh the latest evening model runs and NWS point forecasts ahead of resolution.
