Following Slovenia's March 22 parliamentary elections, where Robert Golob's Freedom Movement narrowly won 29 of 90 seats ahead of Janez Janša's Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS), coalition negotiations have stalled amid a fragmented National Assembly. The April 10 election of Zoran Stevanović of the small Resni.ca party as parliament speaker—backed by 48 center-right votes—signals a potential SDS-NSi-Resni.ca majority, elevating trader consensus on Janša at 74% implied probability as the next prime minister. Jernej Vrtovec (NSi leader) and Anže Logar trail as compromise candidates in ongoing talks, while Golob's broad coalition bid falters, reflecting opposition momentum and Resni.ca's kingmaker role ahead of presidential consultations.
