**Forecast models and official guidance from the National Weather Service and local outlets point to a high temperature in the low 80s°F for Denver on September 18, 2026, with scattered afternoon thunderstorms.** This setup aligns with the market-implied probabilities favoring 82–83°F (40.5%) and 80–81°F (30.5%), as afternoon convection and cloud cover from moist southeasterly flow are expected to moderate peak heating. Recent NWS point forecasts and tabular guidance show daytime maxima reaching 81–83°F under partly to mostly cloudy skies, with precipitation chances of 30–60% during the afternoon—conditions that historically limit highs to the low-to-mid 80s rather than allowing full solar heating toward 85°F or higher. Climatologically, mid-September averages in Denver sit near 78–80°F, so the current pattern reflects a modest warm anomaly tempered by storm-related cooling. Updated model runs over the past 24–48 hours have remained stable in this range, with no major shifts in steering flow or moisture that would push outcomes outside the leading bins. Key resolution factors include the exact timing and coverage of thunderstorms, which could trim a degree or two if widespread, or allow a brief spike into the mid-80s if storms remain isolated and delayed.

The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=kbkf
This market will resolve off of the Hourly Data provided using the "Show Hourly Data" button.
If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source.
In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket.
To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to US Units w/ kts" button until the relevant table displays °F.
This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Fahrenheit (eg, 21°F). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
