Current National Weather Service forecasts and model consensus indicate a clear, high-pressure pattern over the Pacific Northwest on September 17, supporting overnight radiational cooling with Seattle-area lows centered in the low-to-mid 50s°F, consistent with the 52–57°F bin that holds the bulk of market-implied probability. Historical September normals near Sea-Tac show average lows of 52.9°F, while recent days have featured similar clear conditions producing readings of 52–54°F. Key variables include light northeast winds that could enhance or limit cooling, minor differences in urban versus airport microclimates, and any late-model shifts in cloud cover or dew points. The spread across adjacent bins reflects typical ensemble uncertainty this far ahead of the overnight minimum, with resolution hinging on the official 24-hour low reported at the primary station.
