Trader consensus prices under 6,000 US flight delays at 50%, driven by live FlightAware data showing roughly 5,000-6,000 delays so far on March 28, aligning with historical daily averages of about 5,600 amid no major nationwide weather events. Localized high winds prompted FAA advisories for Northeast hubs like LaGuardia, Reagan National, and Dulles, causing average departure delays of 1-1.5 hours, while TSA staffing shortages from the partial government shutdown have lengthened security lines at busy airports, contributing to ground delays. Recovery from mid-March storms, which spiked delays above 12,000, has stabilized operations, though spring break volume and potential late-day wind escalation keep higher brackets like 6,000-6,500 and above 9,000 viable at around 31%. Final tallies from Bureau of Transportation Statistics will resolve the market.
