This market will resolve based on a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the government of Texas, including the Office of the Secretary of State and the government of Denton County.Talarico leads Denton County probabilities at 68.5% amid a tight statewide Texas Senate contest against Paxton, who sits at 43%. Recent polling through mid-September shows Talarico holding narrow edges or ties overall, driven by stronger support among suburban independents, Hispanic voters, and moderates in areas like Denton County north of Dallas. Paxton's decisive primary runoff win there over Cornyn has not fully translated to the general election, where Democratic consolidation and fundraising advantages have narrowed historical Republican margins. Multiple minor candidates and "other" options remain at even odds, reflecting low expectations for breakthroughs. The November 3 contest hinges on turnout patterns in this competitive suburban county.
