Recent polling conducted as the snap British Columbia election campaign began on September 22 shows the NDP leading the Conservatives 41% to 36%, with the Greens at 12% and smaller parties below 5%. The Conservative Party of British Columbia remains the primary challenger for second place despite recent leadership turnover, including the resignation of Kerry-Lynne Findlay and the selection of interim leader Lorne Doerkson, alongside realignments as CentreBC MLAs rejoined the caucus. These developments have consolidated the main opposition vote while highlighting regional divides that favor the NDP in urban areas and Conservatives elsewhere. Trader consensus reflects the Conservatives’ established position as the leading alternative amid ongoing campaign volatility ahead of the October 24 vote.
