Forecast models from the Finnish Meteorological Institute and others indicate a highest temperature in Helsinki on September 26 likely near 14–15°C amid persistent showers, southerly winds of 5–7 m/s, and extensive low cloud cover limiting solar heating. Baltic Sea surface temperatures near 15°C moderate the air mass, while variable precipitation timing creates uncertainty in the exact peak, supporting the close market split between 13°C, 14°C, and 15°C outcomes. Recent upstream patterns show mild maritime influence replacing cooler northerly flow, keeping values near seasonal norms without strong high-pressure development that could push readings higher. Updated model runs in the next 24–48 hours will refine the maximum.
