Official observations from the National Weather Service at Los Angeles International Airport recorded a daily maximum of 81°F on September 12, 2026, under mostly sunny conditions with light onshore flow and a moderating marine layer typical for the coastal basin in mid-September. This outcome aligns with the seasonal average high near 76°F and recent cooling after an early-month heat spike that reached 99°F on September 9. Trader consensus at near-100% probability for the 80-81°F bin reflects verified station data and minimal model divergence in post-event verification. Resolution could shift only if official climatological summaries revise the peak reading due to station-specific calibration or if the market specifies a non-standard observation site outside the primary NOAA network.
