This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Vnukovo International Airport in degrees Celsius on 3 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=UUWW If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Current forecasts for Moscow on September 3, 2026, indicate a minimum temperature most likely in the 13–15°C range, driven by a cooling trend after warmer conditions on September 1.** Multiple models project overnight lows near 13–14°C under mostly cloudy skies with light southwesterly winds and scattered light rain, limiting clear-sky radiative cooling. Daytime highs are expected around 19–21°C before temperatures fall after sunset. The near-even split in market-implied probabilities between the 8°C-or-below and 18°C-or-higher outcomes (both ~46%) reflects ongoing model uncertainty and trader caution two days ahead of resolution. Ensemble spreads in temperature forecasts remain notable for this timeframe, particularly regarding exact cloud cover, wind speed, and any late-arriving frontal passages that could alter nocturnal cooling rates. Historical early-September climatology for Moscow shows typical overnight minima around 10–14°C, providing context for why traders assign meaningful probability to moderate outcomes clustered near 10–14°C (each ~25–26%). Key differentiating scientific factors include the strength of the nocturnal boundary layer, surface moisture from recent precipitation, and the precise timing of any wind shifts—variables that numerical weather prediction models resolve differently at short lead times. Updated model runs and official guidance from sources such as the Hydrometeorological Center will likely narrow these ranges as September 3 approaches.
