Recent National Weather Service model guidance and local observations indicate a cooling trend into late September, with Seattle-Tacoma Airport temperatures running 2–4°F below seasonal normals amid increased cloud cover and scattered showers. Ensemble forecasts show overnight lows on September 25 clustered near 47–51°F, where radiational cooling under partial clearing could push minima into the mid-40s while persistent marine layer or precipitation would hold them near 50°F. This narrow range and modest model spread around the 45°F threshold drive the near-even market split between sub-46°F and 64°F+ outcomes, with traders weighting the latest 00Z and 12Z runs from the National Centers for Environmental Prediction. Updated NWS Seattle forecast discussions and hourly observations through September 24 will provide the next key inputs before resolution.
