Republican Tim Moore holds a clear edge in North Carolina’s 14th congressional district race, reflecting the district’s Republican tilt following the 2025 redistricting and his strong performance as incumbent. Moore easily won his party’s March 3, 2026 primary with 83 percent of the vote, while Democrat Lakesha Womack captured her nomination with just over half. The district, which includes parts of the Charlotte suburbs and surrounding counties, favors Republican candidates in recent cycles due to its voter composition and electoral math. With the general election set for November 3, 2026, traders see limited Democratic crossover potential absent major national shifts or unforeseen candidate developments that could alter turnout or margins in this battleground-leaning seat.
