Forecast models from Chinese meteorological sources and global ensembles indicate a likely overnight low near 26°C for Shenzhen on September 23, consistent with late-September subtropical norms influenced by lingering monsoon moisture and light easterly flow. Persistent cloud cover and scattered showers could suppress radiative cooling and keep the minimum above 24°C, while clearer breaks might allow modest drops toward 23–25°C. Trader sentiment remains nearly evenly split between sub-22°C and 32°C+ outcomes due to model spread on boundary-layer moisture and weak frontal passages, with limited historical precedent for extremes this late in the season. Updated runs from the China Meteorological Administration and ensemble guidance expected over the next 48 hours will likely narrow the range ahead of resolution.
