Official forecasts from the National Weather Service indicate an overnight low near 55°F on August 30 in San Francisco, driven by the typical late-summer marine layer and light to moderate onshore flow off the cool California Current. This setup, reinforced by coastal upwelling, produces modest radiational cooling under variable stratus or clear intervals, keeping minima clustered around the 54–59°F range. Trader consensus across closely matched leading bins reflects uncertainty in exact marine layer depth and wind strength overnight, where slightly stronger flow or thicker stratus could favor the lower end while brief clearing allows marginally higher readings. Historical August lows average 56°F, providing context for the tight distribution.
