The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=UUWW To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.Recent forecasts from multiple models place Moscow's August 6 high near 29–31 °C, producing the tight 29 °C versus 30 °C split in trader-implied odds. Key drivers include warm southerly advection under a weakening high-pressure ridge, combined with variable cloud cover and possible early showers that could limit peak insolation. Small differences in boundary-layer mixing, exact shower timing, and model handling of shortwave radiation explain the narrow gap between the top two outcomes; clearer skies or delayed precipitation would favor 30 °C or higher, while earlier cloud build-up supports 28–29 °C. Historical August variability and current model consensus keep probabilities clustered in this narrow range ahead of final observational data.
